SuperCoach AFL 2011

SuperCoach - The Major Change in 2011

The price change in SuperCoach is the major thing to keep an eye on. It is a huge change in the game.

Rookies remain the same price. Champions are the 'value item'.

The intention appears to make team selection easier in SuperCoach AFL 2011. At least initially, due to the expanded 33-man team.

A SuperCoach must consider the effect of this change.

Rookies have always been the 'value item'. Year in & year out in SuperCoach. The cash rewards in picking a bunch of playing rookies has always been the key to a strongly performing team come season's end.

This has not changed. Although the price reward will not be as great in 2011.

Along with the expanded bench, it is easier to pick rookies for the team. 11 bench spots = 11 first year/cheap players.

Plus it will be less risk carrying 'playing' youngsters. Rookies selected to be on the field. These guys can be easily shifted around during the year. To maximise returns.

A SuperCoach in 2011 - must pick more 'champions'. Also, must pick more cheap players.

The effect of this change almost destroys mid-range players. The Keneally's & Masten's of 2010 are to be shunned.

A player of the ilk of Malceski in 2010, well, there are always exceptions. However, a SuperCoach has only a limited crystal ball.

Mid-Range Players are out

SuperCoach AFL will take this position throughout the remainder of the pre-season. Stay tuned.
